Terroir Taste and Travel

About

Hi!  I’m Jennifer Dolan, a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) in the greater Philadelphia area who is passionate about the effect of terroir on the taste of food and beverages above and beyond just wine.

My background: I have a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Delaware and a Master of Science in Nutrition from Drexel University. I have been on the faculty in the Nutrition Minor Program at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn). I am a member of the Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative from whom I have purchased a local, organic Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share for years.

I am a supporter of Slow Food International™️ and Chair of Slow Food Philadelphia, where I have worked to promote good, clean, and fair food for all. I have attended multiple Slow Food Nations Conferences in the United States and attended the Terra Madre / Salone del Gusto Conference in Turin, IT as a delegate.

Some of my favorite things in life include my morning yoga and meditation practice, a cortado or macchiato, riding my bike, and the sound of silence. I enjoy cooking, traveling, and exploring local food markets.  And of course, eating foods in their place of origin.
